Mensah Courage EdemCanada has announced a significant increase in the proof of funds required for study permits. This change will take effect January 1, 2024.
Living expenses: The minimum amount you need to show has doubled from CAD 10,000 to CAD 20,635 annually.
This applies to new applications only: If you submit your application before January 1, 2024, the old requirement still applies.
Additional dependents: If you bring family members, you’ll need to provide additional funds: CAD 4,000 for your spouse and CAD 3,000 for each other child.
